USC Game Time

It is still showing as TBD. Honestly this is the best part of ND being Independent. Who would want to not know what time their game starts 10 days before the game? I actually make decisions months in advance with ND and decide if I want the night game experience or the day game.

So...does anyone know when they will decide the game time? Will they wait to see if ND wins this week?

No, Notre Dame sets its home game times at the beginning of the year due to it's contract with NBC. The rest of the schools are at the mercy of what game ABC etc. want to show at a certain time based on their ratings expectations.

Then I totally misunderstood your post. I thought you were complaining that we didn't know yet what the start time would be for the USC game.

Definitely a strong possibility. That gives them the angle of ND trying to not be bowl ineligible for the first time in the Kelly era, USC trying to secure a major bowl bid, etc. along with the basic rivalry angle. It certainly adds something to the interest level of the game.

Absolutely. My post was that independence and NBC contract allows Notre Dame to set their games in advance. Other teams / road games are left to the whim of the network based on current marketability of the game based on win loss record etc.
