Hey guys,

I am looking forward to experiencing the likely once in a lifetime opportunity of seeing UGA play in South Bend. Of course finding tickets seems to be a choice between taking out a second mortgage or waiting until the day of to see if I can get lucky. I wanted to see if any ND fans wanted to make a trade of sorts. I have 8 season tickets on the 30 yard line (lower level) in Athens and would be happy to part with 4 of them for 4 tickets to the game in South Bend. I don't mind paying for the tickets now and then charging the person the same thing I pay for the tickets in Athens in 2019. Just a thought. Please email me if interested at msussuga@gmail.com. Thanks!

Michael

I did this same thing with an Oklahoma fan for the 2012-2013 games. It worked out well. Sorry, I don't have any to spare for the UGA game.

i'm guessing the stadium will be over half Georgia fans so maybe you could ask some fans on the Georgia boards if they have some extra tickets that they would be willing to sell.hope i'm wrong about it being over lf Georgia fans but I see a lots of irish fans giving up tickets or big bucks

It's up to the home fans to be welcoming to our visitors and show them a great visit. The campus speaks for itself. It's up the the Irish players and staff to send those same Georgia fans packing early. But, sorry Bulldog fans, this Irish fan is focused on supporting our guys against Temple first.

The number of Georgia fans will be embarrassingly high is my prediction. I promise you that red will be more than apparent in the stadium. I always wondered what the home team players feel about that, you know, looking out into the stands and seeing the opponents fan base in all its visiting team glory. I won't make a number prediction but it will be a lot and visible in person and on TV I'm afraid.

Will be a big amount of GA fans but will look like more than it is with all that red.
It's always that way with us. Georgia fans will all be in red. Our fans will be in a big mixture of blue, gold, green & white, which blends together to look like a neutral site bowl game. We don't really have a defining color like most schools do. Penn State has the same problem, so they started doing white outs.

DING DING SING...

Us ND fans have gear of Green, BLUE, Gold, Black, White, Gray, pepper, purple, pink, and among others...ND stadium always looks like a pepper full of crap colors...So when a team with RED comes in it will be noticed even if you only have 10,000-20,000 fans..

There will be a lot of Georgia fans at the game and many more outside the stadium. It is probably the only time for most of our lifetime that we will be going to a home game in SB. That is why you are seeing all the excitement from our end. Also, the Falcons are in Chicago on Saturday. It will be the same when ND comes to Athens. You guys have such a big fanbase down here that it will be an expensive tickets. Athens is a really fun town so I would recommend you guys make the trip and trade tickets with me :).

The person who replied on here ended up not having extra tickets, so my offer still stands. I would trade 2 for 2 or 4 for 4 for tix in SB for tix in Athens '19. These ND tickets can be anywhere in the stadium and my tickets in Athens are lower level on the 30 yard line. Please let me know on here or shoot me an email at msussuga@gmail.com. Thanks!

I do think that it will be like the Nebraska game and I have been ringing that bell since the game was first announced. I will not give an estimate but the red will be very pronounced in the stands, on national TV prime time. It will be very embarrassing. There will be more than usual USC fans attending their game in South Bend also, complete with band. Sam Darnold and a highly expected season for USC will do that. That's why I don't want to hear any bitching from ND fans about stadium atmosphere and crowd noise. That ship has sailed.

There are two ways to view it when the stadium is half (or more) filled with the opposing teams color.

The most common way is that ND fans sold out and they are not as 'committed' as the opposing teams fans. Growing up in Nebraska, I heard all about how they 'took over' ND's stadium.

The other way is to view it as a sign of respect. These fans know the ND is the Mecca of CFB and the first time their team plays there, they take the opportunity to visit and pay a lot of money. It would be one thing is USC fans filled our stadium every other year, but they don't. It is just the bigger programs that we rarely play that want to check out all the hype about ND.

I hope it's not like the 2000 Nebraska game.
That sea of Red was overwhelming
Sadly, I'd wager it's going to be close.

From everything I've read, Georgia travels well and they are expecting upwards of 40K fans to make the trek to South Bend. Granted all of those will not have tickets, but they are coming nonetheless.

Sad point #2 - a lot (not all) of ND fans sell their tickets for big games against non-traditional opponents. This is strictly for financial reasons. These tickets bring big money on ebay, craigslist etc. When the opponent has a fan base that travels well and is willing to pay handsomely for tix, coupled with ND fans willing to part with their tickets, you have what you had with Nebraska 2000. Sad but true.

So, are we to assume that ND fans are not as rabid as they claim? What about Bama fans? Texas A&M? Longhorns? Nebraska? Serious question. Do they sell out to the highest bidder at the drop of a hat like ND "fans"?

We do have many alums who graduated from the #1 undergraduate business school in the country and have mastered of the concept of relative value. :)

I will be in section 132, behind the students, which is my favorite place to sit.

When was the last time a team of note went to Tuscaloosa for a non-conference game? They play almost all their competitive non-conference games at neutral sites.

And my bet would be that there'd be all sorts of sellers at every school if the price was over $500 per ticket.
