Utah State DE Byron Vaughns announced Friday he would enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. Today he's reported offers from Arizona State, Houston, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Cal and USC.
Vaughns spent the past two seasons at Utah State after transferring after three seasons at Texas. The 6-4, 225-pound Vaughns totaled 56 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 2022. He had 43 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and four sacks in 2021.
Rivals ranked Vaughns, previously known as Byron Hobbs, as the No. 41 outside linebacker in the 2018 class. He was a three-star recruit out of Fort Worth (Texas) Eastern Hills.
