How in the world would Oklahoma and sparty be ranked over ND?
-ND has a better SOS than both teams.
-Msu and Oklahoma both lost to bad teams. While ND only has 1 loss which is to the #1 team in the nation.
-Oklahoma lost to a team ND DOMINATED.

ND can and will make the playoffs. Iowa will get beat by the cornhuskers. The sooner's will lose on the road to OSU.

I agree with you. I wouldn't have a big problem if this happened if OU and MSU finished the season with one loss, but not with two weeks to go. Garbage.

#1: I'd worry about winning in Palo Alto, so any of this matters (and with Prosise day to day, I'd be "totally" worried about that). As for your points:

ND dominated UT with a QB that is no longer part of your O. And what's it feel like to play a down rival with a jihad chip on their shoulder? Oh yeah, 19-16.

OU has a higher margin of victory - I translate that into "eyeball test" (but honestly have no idea what the Committee uses for that nebulous concept).

Baylor likely wins out vs TCU and UT, giving OU the best win of anyone.

In the vein of Brand Names matter - and ND certainly benefits from that as much as anyone - your best wins are against the shrug-inducing names of Navy and Temple. Who cares how good they really are (and frankly, not many do), the issue here is brand name.

Best hit the Grotto and get praying....but I doubt Our Lady gives a crap about any of this.

Totally agree Z! No way those teams that jumped ND are better than ND. The college playoff committee is turning out to be worse than the BCS system used to be. I'd rather have the old computer system but let it choose four teams. No way that system would have let three teams jump ND after a win.

There is still time for ND to get in the playoff. It starts with showing the committee that last week was a " bad win" and noting more. The eye test has to resurface. I believe that the offense will but the defense scares me . IMO if it comes down to ND and Oklahoma ND can have a VERY strong case for these reasons:

1- ND strength of schedule can become stronger if Navy/ Temple win the AAC conference.
2- USC has to beat UCLA . A USC vs Stanford PAC 12 Championship game would be very strong for ND. IF USC can beat Stanford in the PAC 12 title game.
3- PITT wins out and gets into the top 25
This could potentially give ND a 5-1 record vs the committee top 25.
Add in the Texas win vs the Oklahoma loss.
Oklahoma on the other hand could potentially have only a 2-0 record vs the top 25. Baylor and Oklahoma state. TCU loses again and they might drop out .
5-1 with victories over 2 conference Championship teams and runner up and a 5-1 record vs. a resume of 2-0 in your own conference ? ND gets in with that.

I forgot about the Oregon angle but you're correct. SC having a poor season is hurting ND.

Agree ND should drop SC considering they have never held a lead in this series and how many games back?

What the advantage of keeping SC if the Irish can't even count on your boys to keep their freaking SOS up GEEZ!

Great points, dip. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Just kidding brother. I thought the SOS would play a factor but MSU losing to NEB then being 4th .....IDK

Thank goodness the Irish still control their destiny

Happy Thanksgiving to you, and yours and be safe.

Just curious, but how many times this year have you thought Iowa was going to get beat? They just keep winning.

i'll admit i didn't think nd would fall but i found it interesting that jeff long said they had to vote multiple times on the order of the teams ranked 3-6. all nd can do is win on saturday and hope for the best. they do that they'll finish 11-1 which i think is fabulous considering all the obstacles they faced this year.

I really hope they have a method that's required to be used so they can break a tie in the voting process. It would be unfair if they just revoted hoping someone would change their mind the second time around.

ever been on a jury ? probably very similar. some things are pretty clear cut, others kind of blurry.

I think the committee was doing a troll job on ND all along. Now they wipe the rug right out from underneath them. Iowa or OU, I don't know which one is more of a fraud? The former has played no one outside of Pitt and OU barely beat TCU who had their third stringer in at QB.

On the other hand we all know that style points matter and Kelly not being able to get his guys ready the last two weeks is what the committee is using as a way to screw ND.

I totally agree. Why can't we just have it the way it was but the comp picks four teams? The committee is playing politics and they love sticking it to ND.

how do you know they weren't ready ? think they prepared any different than they have all year ? is a football inflated or stuffed ? is Donald trump a toolish blowhard ?

Complain about Iowa and Oklahoma jumping over ND all you want, but
the Irish have no one to blame but themselves. Their play the last few
weeks put them in this predicament.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN BUSINESS. They didn't win any new "votes"
from the committee members the last few games.

All can be overcome with a convincing win over Stanford and possibly a few
upsets this weekend or next. We shall see.
