Well we were due for another torn ACL weren't we?
Geez. Can't write this stuff up.
Have seen it happen before, but jeez...this is getting ridiculous.
Maybe if Kelly does not out think himself and call those timeouts on defense, this would never of happened. Why take TO's and gamble that you will stop them when you have a redshirt freshman QB and a FG kicker who can't hit an extra point and will have to drive 70 yards in a minute. Makes no sense when you call conservative plays all half.
No more "Culture Beats Scheme". Its all about "Next Man In" this year.
No, but as I explained above, he called a conservative half. He should not take gambles like this with a Freshman QB and a kicker who can't hit a PAT. Can't you read bonehead?yeah you are a genius... kelly should have expected a fumble and a kid doing something stupid to get his knee torn up.

And you have 2374 idiotic posts.you have made 5 posts idiot and just wrote an ignorant comment! who the hell is going to listen to your junk? kelly did the right thing, he can't predict things to happen, but you must have a crystal ball in your donkey basement. get off the board chump!
Not "blaming" him at all. It's just unbelievable the amount of injuries and bad luck this team has had to overcome. It's truly insane. Stuff happens. It's football. There's nobody to "blame". Great win today.Paz, are you really blaming Kelly for Tranquil injury?
New Hampshire, are you really blaming Schmidt for Tranquil injury?
And For JJ's injury when McGlinchey pushed JS into JJ during practice?
Now I remember why I stopped posting on this board.
Insanity
While I agree with that, you can't stop the players from being all jacked up after making big plays. I remember a game last year (not a Notre Dame game) where a guy got swarmed under by his teammates after making an interception and they were all piling on him. He could have been hurt as well in that situation. It's just an emotional reaction because it was at a critical time of the game.Too bad, and it's a totally preventable injury. Whatever happened to high-fives?
I'm surprised more players aren't injured this way. When you have a 200+lb guy jumping up and chest-bumping another 200+lb guy midair, it's going to be hard to land smoothly.

Also, I wonder if there was possibly something going on with his knee prior to that, and all it took was one little slip or hit to make it tear the remainder of the way.
