hope China doesn't take it easy on them just because they are big time athletes playing in a big time sport like judges do over hear in the u.s.

You know the majority of Americans are very happy he was involved and they want him to get some harsh punishment........ I am part of the majority for some reason.
I blame the dad. I mean who buys their 18 year old kid a Ferrari and doesn't buy him a pair of sunglasses to cruise around in? The poor kid had no choice.

Take it easy on them?? It was shoplifting. They're not going to be doing "hard time" for shoplifting, no matter where it happened.
They'll get a stern slap on the wrist and will have to run stairs back in Westwood until they puke.
In China theft like that is taken way more seriously then in the USA. Hoping China doesn't take it easy on them would suggest them getting something more then the minimum sentence, which I believe is 3 years in prison.
I still don't see them getting any jail time regardless of 'normal' Chinese rules.
I agree... it would be funny for the Ball kid (even though his dad is the annoying one not him), but going to jail for shoplifting is pretty harsh.
Well, they're lucky they weren't in a Middle Eastern country. Hard to shoot a basketball with only one hand!!
