Live in South Korea and watched this game with one of my good friends over here. I'm all Dawg and he's all Irish.

He feels your defense is vastly improved and was impressed with what your new DC has done there.

I can't really say much on this because I didn't watch you play a game last year. You looked good both Saturdays this year, but our offense was putrid last year and we started a true freshman this week. I also don't understand our OC's philosophy. But from what I saw, you had your way with us mostly.

He felt our defense was probably gonna be one of the tops in the country this year. I can't argue, though we may be in a bit more trouble with a more experienced QB who can read the field quicker and it a little more accurate. All things Wimbush can and likely will improve upon. Our front seven is loaded with future NFL picks. Our Dbs are not on the same level, but we have a lot of young talent back there.

He felt Fromm was not that good and we absolutely should keep feeding the ball to our backs and only pass as a last resort. I thought Fromm was decent for a kid making his first career start. The plan was never for him to win the game for us and outside of the one pick and not covering the fumble, he played mistake free. He stares down his receivers too often, like all young QBs, but he made a play or two when he had to do it late to get this victory.

He thought our backs were good, but Sony was a good bit better than Chubb. I can see why if he only went on today, but anyone who saw Nick play as a freshman would know better. Nick is still not quite bouncing out to the outside of the tackles like he used to.

I think your QB has the potential to be something special and he agreed. Considering the duress he was under all game, we both felt like he handled the pocket quite well. Perhaps he'll have a little better feel for when the heat is coming, but he shouldn't be blamed for the two fumbles alone. Very little warning of what was coming.

Didn't see much of your RBs, so hard to say much about them. The left side of your line might be overrated, but I'm hoping they'll look much better in the coming weeks and the competition today and a lot to do with their performance.

My ND friend likes this team, but loathes your HC. Essentially he says it makes it hard for him to be interested even if ND is good these days. Thinks BK continues to throw players under the bus and will not take the blame for how bad the team performs. Said in all honesty, he'd rather endure a bad season if it would get rid of BK quicker so you could get a coach that fits more in with your great coaches of the past (Knute, Frank, Ara, Dan D., Lou H., etc. ) He's not talking about wins and losses as much as integrity and persona.

For the record, our coach said both teams are much better than last year. Said he had watched a lot of film on ND in the off season and the team today is not the same team you had last year. Also praised your QB and WRs. He was concerned about your wide outs but felt our DBs did a decent job today.

Also, I'm sure you hear this every time a new team makes a trip to SB, but Dawg fans were very impressed with your campus, stadium and especially your fans.

Good luck to you the rest of the way. Hope we'll both look back on this as a top ten type of battle once the year is out.

Well said KCKD.

This game was supposed to be close and competitive and it was. You had future NFL linemen going up against future NFL Defensive lineman and it ended up pretty much a stalemate as one might expect. I am biased but I think UGA will have one of the very best defenses in the country this year.

Notre Dame's defense looked good to me. They blanketed our receives all night and they are pretty fast. They stuffed the UGA vaunted running backs most of the night and that is not an easy tasks. They forced some turnovers and gave Notre Dame and chance to win by giving them the field position on several drives.

Looking at it from the outside, I thought the ND OC called a pretty good game other than the next to last drive when ND really needed a first down to run out clock when they had the two point lead. That series was poorly called and may have cost ND the game.

UGA's offense is still in need of an identity. It is loaded with talent. The OC just cannot find a way to sustain drives with the talent. ND's defense though was ready. It was clear that they were very prepared for the UGA offense.

Prior the injury to Jacob Eason this was a 3 point edge for ND which is usually considered the home field advantage edge. That is basically what it ended up being, an even game. Let the season play out and then reevaluate this game.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Pre game, I was concerned about the ND offensive line and hoping the ND defense would not be very good. It turns out that your defense was VERY good. That defense was fundamentally sound and well coached. I was pleased that the UGA defense held you to 50+ yards on the ground. Looks like that was the Georgia game plan. (Stop the run and force your QB to beat UGA throught the air.) Georgia was assessed 12 penalties for 127 yards. One of those negated a long run back that would have put UGA around your 5 yard line. Our rookie WR Mecole Hardman dropped a beautiful long pass that hit him right in the hands. That would have been an gimme TD. Georgia has to clean up a few things like that in order to get ready for the SEC gauntlet.
