IMO, new process (ND sends ticket buyers a time slot during which they can select seats they want) is a significant improvement.

It's not really a lottery any more. The people that donate the most have already gone in (online) and selected the exact seats they want for each game.

With so many buyers limited to buying 2 tickets AND prohibited from leaving a single seat in a row, there are a bunch of 3-seat blocks in just about every section. Anyone know how they plan to dispose of all the 3-seat blocks?

I was listening to ESPN radio Chicago the other day and a commercial came on that was telling people season tickets are available. I don't think I ever heard a radio or TV commercial for ND football tickets. I've heard commercials for Illinois, Northwestern, and Northern Illinois but not ND.

Sluggo will let you know on June 12th when it's his turn to select.

Toby,

That may or may not have something to do with ridiculously high required building fund donations

It is not so much the season tickets -- but the annual voluntary/mandatory stadium donation per seat that is the killer!

I would like to see one game a year become a true lottery. This would give all the alumni that donate a shot at sitting at the 50 yard line. I know that access to football tickets raises a lot of money for the University. However, a true lottery may ultimately increase interest in a non marque ACC game and keep middle class alumni coming to the games.

Loved the smoothness of the process. Was able to get the opener, Georgia and USC.

Hopefully the Bulldogs and Trojans fetch ol Sluggo top $$

My ticket scalper I use every year (gets me great seats at reasonable prices) lamented that due to the increased donation required etc. that many long time holders have given up their tickets and or a pair of their tickets. I.E. It is going to become much more / already has become harder to get four good / prime seats together.

I had first row at the behind the Stanford dugout last year.....I know I likely cannot repeat this again very easily but it was nice...except for losing of course and not scoring a single point in the second half.

If you are an alumni and you donate, you can probably see way more than one game per year under the current process. You may not sit at the 50 yard line, but there's no guarantee of that in a lottery either.

I think we all know that tickets are available at the football box office a couple hours before the games. They may not be prime seats, but they are seats and you will pay face. If you want to see all the home games for free, not have to worry about tickets anymore, free parking, and free lunch to boot, become a stadium usher. From what my section usher recently texted me, they are in need of reliable stadium ushers.

There will tickets available in groups of three all over the stadium. I'm not sure they thought that issue through. They need to let a person with a two ticket limit purchase three tickets if there are only three left in a given row.
