Last year was in all 13 games, had

receiving 29 rec / 516 yards / avg. 17.8 / 2 TD
rushing 10 attempts / 126 yards / 12.6 avg. / 1 TD

Has been getting a ton of praise at RB for this year. Rather that is lack of depth or if he really has an extra gear. Could battle Bryant for some of those snaps that Greg has been wanting

this board was discussing this move months before the staff made it known! so, yes it is a good idea! ND had 2 RB's and that is just not a warm and fuzzy situation. Just knowing there is a 3rd guy is getting some reps there if nothing else provides a fail safe! Clearly, CJ is more than that.

Get him the ball as much as you can. It's going to be tough to get him enough receptions at WR with the depth and talent there.

Still carries it in his left hand running to the right.

That's a TO waiting to happen.

The practice videos I have seen look pretty good. No hesitation and lots of speed!

I hadn't noticed that he didn't switch hands with the ball.

I expect he'll get carries on fly sweeps and similar plays designed to get him in space with one guy to beat.

Prosise was actually the lowest rated recruit in our 2012 class per Rivals. A 5.5 three-star, so a great find by the staff. I think he has a shot at being the game-breaking running back George Atkinson never really turned into.

I've heard coaches say that if you have the ball high and tight and have the 3 points of pressure then the issue of carrying the ball on the left or the right is negligible. So to me that would be a minor issue. He is a fast and physical runner and we haven't had one since Hughes, I believe. We need him at RB.

that would sound like a coaching issue.
I agree Perse. The inability to switch hands when the situation dictates it is 100% on Mike Brey.

Prosise is definitely a hidden gem. He's probably the best athlete on offense right now. The only disappointment is that he tends to drop balls at times. If he didn't he'd probably be the #1 WR on all american watch list for this season. I'm glad they're cross training him at RB. So far it appears to be a good fit/backup situation for the Irish.

He was recruited as a safety . I loved his HS films as it seemed to me he had a great feel for the ball in the air and he showed some nice things as a punt returner . I thought he was a steal as a center field guy .

Amazing how these kids can move around and be productive at other spots .

Yep....hand him the ball and let him run!!!

A great back reads blocks and sets up defenders, he makes yards after contact and knows his pass protection assignments. Most importantly he protects the football.

Running a handful of Jet Sweeps is fine but handling all the responsibilities of an every down back is a different story.

Very few guys are every down backs anymore. Reggie Bush wasn't an every down back and it worked out well for both USC and Reggie.

Agreed MT -- however coach Kelly said in a presser last week that CJ is running north south in between the tackles as well. He added that Folston and Bryant will require their A game to keep Procise out of the backfield .
