and they actually 'lost' money!
the NCAA knew and the family complied with the shutdown
and the NCAA said nothing till this weekend?

Evidently when he was in highschool someone (unclear how close he is to the direct family) in Fournette's family started a website that sold things with Fournette's catchphrase/nickname on it and supposedly some of the merchandise was in LSU colors. Not only did the family member reportedly profit from this but they also got a discount on the set up of the operation. The website was taken down fairly quickly but now the NCAA is looking into it.

Originally it was reported that he would be held out of the Bama game pending the NCAA looking into this and clearing him. The article on SI I ready saying this either isn't on there or it has been edited and now outlets are just reporting that the NCAA will investigate and many are suggesting nothing will come of it.
