Has rivals ever heard of a UX designer? The boards went from being okay to impossible to use on a mobile device. Text wrapping everywhere, no organization to the threads, only 3-4 thread titles on a page at a time...
My personal favorite is the addition of the picture icons/avatars of the original poster, that was a great use of available space. It's really informative to know that fellow message board users don't care to add a profile pic.
Seriously though, what metric are you guys gauging to measure success? Clicks, posts, subscription renewals? I'm happy to be wrong but I can't imagine that any of those are increasing with the changes.
