THAT WAS A TOTAL BEATDOWN!

Totally was not. It turned out not to be a pick 'em game. It was all ND start to finish. And the book on IU was right. They are indeed questionable against tough competition. But we were not to be denied. We were up for the occasion!

I was shocked how conservative IU was all game but ND dominanted despite not playing our A game. Defense was lights out. Denbrock clock mgmt bothered me but game was never in doubt.

I agree. But I still wish MF tightened things up to not allow Indiana those garbage time TDs. I hate that Indiana pushed for every point when the game was basically over...kinda the reverse of piling on points when heavily winning.

Still, ND should be able to lock it down better. Be as competitive defending as they are in acquiring garbage time points. Plus, the one major hole in my stand against Indiana...sure, you never give up.

ND stands to beat Georgia. The D alone can anchor this, but the O has to do its part. Let's hope Mills is ok...he is 1 guy who can tip the game.

This defense is something else. Good friend of mine (big PSU fan) watched tonight and he was absolutely floored with how fast and just flat out wicked good we looked tonight.

One thing that strikes me about our offense is how difficult we really are to defend. Great running triple threat, but we have sneaky weapons in the recieving corp, and a lot of them. I really liked how we spread the ball to many different guys in a game.

I would like to have seen us run the ball against them a little better. Loves home run ball was a big chunk of our total rushing yards. But, we pushed them around all game.

Did anyone notice MF's demeanor in the post game interview? He jus seamed content with the win, but it really felt business like and he was already thinking UGA. I like this guy.

It doesn't appear we took any major injuries. Mills hopefully is ok. Its good we get a couple weeks now to recoup and heal everyone up again before the big push through UGA and hopefully beyond.

Cignetti talked aggressively all week

Then with 11 mins left, down 17 points, he punts

Then plays the last 2 drives like Super Bowl for style points

ND took foot off accelerator , only bad play was Beau Collins having alligator arms on the first onside kick

Worried about Mills

It was a near dominant win sans the last two minutes on defense but I didn’t like denbrock’s playcalling the entire second half. We won because of better players not because of better plays, at least on offense.

I didn't like allowing the 2 garbage td's either but up 27-3 with under 5 minutes to go game was over. He had 2nd teamers in and probably felt like he didn't want to risk any more injuries to the front line guys on D.

Cignetti ran his mouth all week before they played OSU - just like he did against ND. He earlier said OSU sucks. The final score was OSU 38 - Indiana 15 and the score doesn't come close to the beatdown OSU put on Indiana.

OSU and ND were the only two top 25 teams Indiana played all year and it showed against both. Indiana and SMU should not have been in the Playoffs

Did you watch the IU v OSU game?
IU had their punter drop a snap deep in their own end. They gave up a punt return for a TD and Day tried to run up the score with a very late TD when they probably should have taken a knee. Karma got him the next week vs Michigan.
