Because a player can't compromise a school. In an era where 1 win or loss can decide an entire season.

purdue is the last place golson needs to land at. he can do so much better than playing for the toiletmakers. him going to purdue would almost be as bad as him going to Michigan in my opinion. I know neither are no longer going to be rivals in football but i'll always hate both schools and would never wish for any irish player transferring to go to either
well NDSMC78 I live only 30 min away from Lafayette so I have to deal with all the crap that boiler fans say about our irish when I go to Lafayette on some weekends shopping or just to the movies and out to eat. purdue fans hate our irish as much as they hate there biggest rival the Indiana hoosiers
Yeah I do not get Purdue fans. They have to be the most hateful fan base I have ever seen. I mean OSU fans are hateful also, but for the most part they are stupid who never would see the inside of OSU, let alone any other college.

i'm listening to the college sports nation channel on Sirius xm radio right now and the two hosts talking college football are semi bashing our irish because of the stories out now that are saying our irish won't let golson go wherever he wants even though he'll be graduated this spring. I don't think they realize that if you let him to go to a school on our schedule this year like texas then it'll be like coach Kelly handing over our offensive playbook to coach strong

I didn't think Kelly would be this big of a pu$$y. Let Golson transfer to Texas and have Day and Jones bury him in the turf all night long. It would be ratings gold.

I agree on that front but I still think ND is going to beat Texas either way. The ND defense has the knowledge of how awful Golson is at protecting the ball. It's moot now. FSU it is. Hopefully they meet in a bowl game.
With the step back many expect FSU to have this year, I hope they don't meet in a bowl game 
That said I think Charlie Strong will have Texas ready. I think the opener will be a touchdown difference in the points.
