ND fans can expect that Strong and UT will ply tough.

Swoops has been named the starter; he is a vg athlete, but by most observations, in games, maybe an athlete playing QB; rather than a QB who is a great athlete. since there are some very good players at the skill position, for UT's offense: so goes Swoops so goes the Longhorns. Get pressure - early pressures on Swoops, get him out of any rythem, and set them tone for the day.

UT has some big talented OL, lineman but they had had problems recent years. BVG needs to make it difficult for their reads; getting then thinking rather than reacting as players. Get on Swoops early.
Disrupt.

As for the ND offense; aside from facing a very few defensive teams nationally, they will be dynamic and seemingly unstoppable- not much D's can do

Looking at something like ND37 UT23

Swoopes is terrible... You will be amazed how slow he is especially in person

^^^^^ who else they got?

and us Irish fans are somewhat accustomed to creating false HT candidates early in the year!
(Devon Gardner. ... seems like one every season in the 1st few games)

Every down of every game is nerve racking. There is history with sure bets and , much like Cub fans, many wait and anticipate what will happen next. It has been the best of times and the worst of times for Irish fans. Guarded optimism. As a fan, I take no one lightly, including Texas. Saturday will be fun. I wouldn't mind a repeat of the '78 Cotton Bowl.

Texas is pretty good defensively but offensively they are challenged. If the Irish struggle Saturday you are probably in for a tough season

TEXAS 21 - ND 17

Who will your other 4 wins come against? Lmao
^^^ typical silly season rhetoric stemming from a sooner fan, upon a nd irish message board. ou, had to hold it's collective breaths last year at the red river rivalry. ty swoopes, was new, raw, inexperienced by far, and yet, he still almost pulled it off. you know it, i know it, we all know it! haven't you noticed that some of your sooner fans, are STILL holding their mouths wide open at the shock of that particular game. this year, you lose.....

Ou owns Texas since 2000 jackass! Not worried one bit plus Texas is irrelevant now as Tcu and Baylor are the standard of the Big 12.

Beat the Irish and we can talk about Texas being relevant again but I doubt you stay within 2 Tds

You know how rivalry games go.... I would take Ou by 10-14 points
You may be right. I have no CLUE as to how this offense will perform.

I do know that last year, we lost 3 or 4 OL and our starting QB, making our offense pretty inept. I hope a year and practice makes us somewhat better.

I expect our D to be ok. We lost some guys, but Strong usually has good D's on the field.

out of my foremost respect for this site's wonderul fighting irish fandom, i would never come upon their board and start playing the "gridiron dirty dozen" with an ou fan. heck, what on earth are you doing over here... your team is not playing nd this week? oh, and by the way, how on earth could ou ever "own" TEXAS? don't you land thieves realize that we can place your state within our state at least a hundred times? sorry pal, but i think that your little "chuck wagon" has indeed run it's course. this year, you lose... HOOK'EM!

Hey Nit Wit if Strong is" a very fine HC "-
Texas is eager to make amends for the 6-7 campaign last year in which it was slaughtered 79-17 in its last two contests -
What does that make Kelly ND 31 -LSU 28 w a freshman MLB Freshman DT Freshman QB starting his first game ?

Please answer this query for me nit wit --

stick with trolling the boards for recruiting info on 15 yr olds -- leave real evaluations to those qualified to handle it .
