Texas A/M

Solid observation.

It indeed takes a lot to be a strong semi-pro outfit in modern college football.

And, as always comes up, illustrates how much more challenging it is for Notre Dame...who cannot bring in a top coach, the best players, and demands a real degree path.

Well….. their last three classes were 8-7-5. And they’re now 3-4.

Jimbo clearly not coaching his 5 stars well

but if anyone pays attention, he only coached well when he had Jameis…
Bottom line… You need a QB !,,,,

Those NIL deals are going to dry up very quickly.
Nope..it will get way worse.

The money some of these people are throwing at kids is pocket change.

Embarrassing but move right along to the next one.

Titles will be bought and paid for.

The real reason BK left was probably the foresight that ND isn't gung ho about the NIL shit and LSU is a cash register

Americas best coaches…

1. Nick Saban
2. Kirby Smart
3. Dabo

559. Marcus Freeman
560. Jimbo Fischer

Gol and jbm got it right. OU lost its QB in the early part of the TCU game and got slaughtered in two games. Same problems you guys are having. A&M will never get there no matter how many millions they spend on the DLine, which is pretty good, without a real passer.

OR the qb needs time. A lot of A&M's talent seems to be frosh. Even with talent not every 18 year old can be ready for this level of football.

Shows you can recruit lights out and spend tons of $ and still be bad.
yep, but Fr. rarely dominate. Now with $$$$ in the bank, no way you get the attention and dedication. But they won the recruiting war! that’s something.

Good coaching is far superior to great recruiting. Recruiting is very misleading. It’s like taking steroids and not going to the gym to lift harder than everyone. It’ll only get you far if you’re a better coach too. CFB is full of examples of good recruiters with crap teams and poor recruiters with outstanding teams

There’s some truth to this. They were at their best with Manziel. And had nowhere near the recruiting they are getting now.

Name these great teams with poor recruiting.

We haven't had either since 1986-1996
