I don't know if it was shown at TV, but during one of the time out breaks, ND honored former Irish player and HC Terry Brennan for an award. Not sure what the award was though, but it appeared to be prestigious. He still looks feisty as hell. For the younger crowd, Terry played for Leahy then later succeeded the coach as HC of the football team in 1954. He was 25 when he became the head guy. Total overall record was 32-18 including the historic 7-0 win over Oklahoma, breaking their 47 game win streak. Fans and boosters wanted him out for much of his coaching career. His seasons at ND were up and down. Many blamed the emphasis on academics as a reason. Anyway, it was great to see this Irish legend in person.
