Thank you for the response in the previous post.
I have quit my job to care for my wife for a year and a half. She is the love of life and my soul mate
She passed away this past August 12.
Now I'm just finding my self after her.

I thought there was a private way of contacting you but I didn't see if through other options so sorry to the manner in which I got this to you
Thank you for your measured yet kind thoughts

Deepest sympathies DIP. Lost my wife when she was 42. Best advice I can give you is to rely on those who care about you and try to always focus on what you were blessed to have had and not dwell on what you don't anymore. I'm guessing that's what she would want you to do too. Stay strong sir.

I am in that club, gentlemen.... Kind and true words, Echo. It isn't easy, but it is reality that must be accepted and navigated after the greatest loss of your lifetime. Nothing compares to it, nor should it. No one has just the right recipe for rebuilding your new life. But, I know from experience that God is the key to a successful transition.....in this life, just as He is after this life. Peace.

DIP, no words can suffice. I’ve not experienced this kind of loss, but just the thought of losing my wife brings on a painful physical response. The thoughts of Echo and Harpo are meaningful from a shared experience. I can only add my sincere heartfelt ache over your loss, and pray that time will bring a smile to your heart as you embrace your daily memories of her and a life well lived and shared. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

I am so very sorry to learn of this loss. My deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers are offered. As TelX said, There are no words - she was Your life mate, your girl, your world and now keep her memory close and know she loved you completely

I can relate to how you feel, you suffered a dual loss, first you experienced the challenge of caring for your wife and seeing her decline while being helpless to reverse that progression, and then you suffered the ultimate loss when she passed.

Everyone copes with that experience and the ultimate loss in their own way.

There is no set formula that will lead you to the path forward, to acceptance, emotional survival, peace and a rewarding future.

I don’t know how old you are, but if you were lucky enough to enjoy the love of your life and your soulmate, there’s a problem that’s a byproduct of a enjoying such a wonderful relationship ………. And that is ……… that the bar has been set so high that few if any woman will be able to reach it.

That’s one of the obstacles that you will face in the future, you will meet woman who don’t come close to,reaching that bar.

The only advice that I could give you Is to not be in a hurry and don’t lower your standards.

Just go about your life as best you can

Good luck

My wife and I offer our sincere condolences and prayers. May your beautiful wife rest in peace.

I would like to thank all who have given me a sense of comfort it means the world to me.
Pat your post was if you've read my mind.

My wife and I both love Jesus Christ dearly and all I'm trying to do is work my way to be with her in heaven
Not to get to deep in the weeds but if anyone is familiar with Emanuel Swedenborg and his writings and the interpretation of soulmates will reunite in have as illustrated in the novel Love in Marriage.
Again thank you very much to all
