Very disappointed with these comments and apparent decision. To Add insult to injury, been hearing that Kelly is likely to promote from within for his DC position. If both prove to be true, then will focus on recruiting news and hope for a stud class; will root for Kelly and ND to have a great season; but know I will be quick to criticize along with nearly everyone else on this board the first time we lose a game we should win, etc... Hope this is a bad nightmare and we awake to news this Sunday of Kelly accepting a HC position elsewhere.

As I said in another thread. Kelly is the coach so we have to live with it. Let's hope for a rebound next year shooting for at least 9 wins. Kelly gets called to the NFL. He leaves having the program direction pointing up. A new coach takes over and gets the Irish to the next level. For me as it stands now, that would be the best thing that could happen.

Indiana said what's the use and just hired from within. Not sure who Purdue thinks they are going to get but if you can make that program a winner, you truly are king of the world. After reading Swarbrick comments on Kelly and ND football it wouldnt matter if Kelly was fired because Swarbrick has questionable evaluations of the program and hiring capabilities.
