Strength of Schedule

Just wanted to show how close the strength of schedules really are. And how subjective they are

The main difference is we're playing much better than they are

If you did your research, you'd realize that the CFP committee uses data from Sportssource Analytics which isn't available to the public. Like it or not they actually refer to the ESPN FPI as a gauge. Your opinion or mine don't mean sh1t. The SoS links you posted don't mean sh1t either. It's based off of the analytics they get from Sportssource Analytics.

"Although the CFP outsources data from SportSource Analytics, executive director Rich Clark said, that data is not available to the public. As a result, ESPN and its FPI is a way to gauge the caliber each team’s opponents are ahead of Week 13. Here are each College Football Playoff team’s strength of schedule, ranked from weakest to strongest, to this point."

Thanks for the clarification

Espn got one right finally

Also, according to you, we don't know that PSU has a higher SOS than ND

Thank you again

I'm talking about SoS within ESPN's FPI. Do you guys know how to read data 😂

NDs schedule isn’t as bad as people make it out to be.

It’s just being blown out of proportion because they haven’t played a top team like pretty much every contender in the big 10 and SEC have.

yea we beat Texas a and m but that was week 1 and they are a fringe top 15 team

So with that data they have ND 3rd and PSU 9th

🤣🤣🤣

I agree. Any way you want to put it, I agree. We are better than PSU.

3rd to 9th is about what I think the gap is

Thank you again

Again it's a guide. You guys are dumb. How they let idiots like you into the forum is crazy. It stated look at FPI's SOS as a guide to strength of schedule, not the FPI ranking Wow really dumb.

So with that "guide", the data says ND is 3rd and PSU is 9th

So I'll say it again, thank you. I agree

Then bet me pu$$y.
ND is going to beat SC on Saturday.

Bet me b*tch. Come on pu**y boy

See how that works. Let's go tough guy. I think ND is going to win

So come on bet me

So stupid you are

Put it any way you want to. Sos, guide, data etc. Etc. Etc

They have ND 3rd and PSU 9th

I agree. Thank you

Also that's from last week
lol you clearly are at a third grade reading level. Read the entire quote.

". As a result, ESPN and its FPI is a way to gauge the caliber each team’s opponents are ahead of Week 13"

Says nothing about FpI ranking but the caliber of their opponents meaning FPI's SoS. Wow I can't believe I have to spell it out for you. you're mentally challenged and I'm being generous.

It measures a team strength and is a predictive measure of a teams future results

ND - 3rd

Psu - 9th

Also Espns power ranking

ND - 4th

PSU - 5th

We jumped them here too

*Right now, Notre Dame ranks No. 5 in Game Control and No. 10 in Strength of Record, two factors the committee has weighed heavily for a decade. That'll continue.

*Those who have tried to bash Notre Dame's schedule should take a closer look — Irish just throttled the best Army team in 50 years; they humiliated then-unbeaten Navy; they beat Georgia Tech, who handed Miami its only loss; They beat Louisville, who was the selection committee's highest-ranked three-loss team before South Carolina's move last week.; They beat Texas A&M on the road, who's one win away from playing for an SEC title.

The best teams on NDs schedule are solid teams but not title contenders. This has led to a narrative they haven’t played a good schedule. As I said above, it is true they haven’t played a top 5 or 10 team which does make them a little bit harder to gauge. But the schedule isn’t full of bottom feeders
