Ian Book's commitment to Notre Dame earlier this month might have come as a surprise to many Irish fans, but to Brownsburg (Ind.) High five-star quarterback Hunter Johnson, it wasn't something that came out of the blue.
Johnson said on Friday, that Irish offensive coordinator Mike Sanford was open with him about his plans to recruit another arm – and Johnson said that Book will have little if any impact on us recruitment.
"You can't really go to a school because of the depth chart. You got to go to the school that you want to, and be confident in yourself that you're going to beat those guys out. I don't know if the depth chart is really a problem for me, there's going to be guys wherever I go, no matter where I go."
