This efficiency stat - Success Rate - is going to be very useful for us this fall. We'll be able to chart Notre Dame's performances on both run and pass plays in regular down and long down scenarios, plus track effectiveness on first, second, third and fourth down.
The Irish did a pretty good job staying ahead of the chains last year on offense, by the numbers anyway. Obvious issue being, they also allowed the other team to stay ahead of the chains.
