IIO has been saying this since June. I read on another site that there are rumors of a 3-4 game suspension. Good think we brought in those Senior recruits. And a solid Freshman in Young.

I just hope Kevin takes a page from Alize's book -- take your medicine, be humble and repentant, put you nose to the old grindstone, you still have three years of eligibility left. The kid has tons of talent I'd hate to see him go elsewhere -- that very rarely ends well for the guy that leaves.

Suspended 4 games. Kelly couldn't "confirm nor deny" the suspension, but it's now being reported by several sources that Stepherson will be eligible to return for the Miami, Ohio game. It was evident that he was suspended by his lack of reps. Bring Kelly's job is on the line. He wouldn't be benching his second best receiver and best deep threat simply to prove a point. Clearly the school got involved here.

I'm just glad that I was erroneous in assuming he'd miss the entire season and transfer. Hopefully Stepherson comes back locked in and with a new attitude. I would be a shame to see him give up on Notre Dame and not overcome challenges to get his degree. Have Michael Floyd give this young man a call and have Jay Hayes take him to lunch.

I wouldn't have Michael Floyd call him considering he is still exhibiting the same issues in he NFL that he had in college. I would have Julius Jones call him. Jones was kicked out of school and worked his way back.

He has plenty of guys around him to talk to. Talk to Alize Mack. He showed class and maturity in handling his adversity. Watch future NFL players like captains like Nelson and Morgan. Or talk to Tranquill about how he faced losing games. There are tons of class guys on this team. Watch and learn.

How do we know how long he is suspended? Maybe it is just for a game or two? Hopefully it is not for the season.

Bodi, it's widely reported as a four game suspension. I don't believe this is a Kelly imposed suspension, but rather school imposed as per school policy.

Besides, It is none of our f-ing business. This is between Kevin, his coach and his school. Kelly just did what he had to to prepare the team for Temple.

Don't smoke, but maybe. Just seemed as if he was being a smug a-hole over an innocent question. I don't personally care for the answer myself, but if I knew what the supposed infraction was, I would either answer the question or post nothing at all. Why answer a question with a "I'm not going to answer that" post. Just let the next willing person answer it.

This is GREAT news !! He is only out for four games !! Everyone seemed to have given up on him ! Not me ! I think he will start where he left off from last year ! I believe he will be our Will Fuller in the second half of the season !!

All pre-season we heard that KS was on the bottom of the depth chart due to his lack of effort/ focus/ no picking up the offense from reliable sources . That was my belief to why he was not in the mix. Bk spoke about playing guys that work hard etc and that is they way it should be. NEVER once did we as fans hear anything about a suspension. IF there is a suspension aren't you curious as to what it's for ? Did it stem from last season? or is it an internal issue that BK has handed down? What's wrong with understanding why this kid is not playing. In fairness to him a lot of people crapped all over him this Fall camp.. Was that even warranted or just an assumption based on him not even being in the top 6 WR's?

Don't disagree with anything you've said here. Everything I've read suggested he was relegated to third string, seemed disinterested, etc... Kelly's comments about playing those who put in the effort as opposed to strictly rewarding ability all suggested this was why Stepherson wasn't getting first team reps. So yea, I want to know why all of a sudden he has a four game suspension. Kelly refusing to confirm or deny is obviously confirmation, otherwise he would strongly deny and lift any cloud over the player. Bode -- like your enthusiasm, but something tells me that with him being out 4 games, he is going to fall way behind the guys playing right now.
