With the better scheduling, better playing field, bigger better stadium, better more consistent recruiting, iRISH INVASION CAMPS, and with the winning on the field making the Irish a force to reckon with I give the 2016/2017 Irish led by Coach Brian Kelly and the visionary Jack Swarbrick my seal of approval.

I believe BVG will finally have the defense playing his way and they will dominate in 16/17.

*** I am not making any predictions but I would not scoff at anyone who believes that the Irish will finish 14 and 0 or 13 and 1 in 2016/17 with a Championship.

I do believe that the offense and Special Teams will be very good. Not sure about the defense. BVG and his guys have to show it on the field. Even a decent defense will make things very interesting. I'm not certain if BVG is on the hot seat because of all the departures and devasting injuries from past seasons, but there can be no excuses for 2016. Injuries or not. The final 30 seconds of Stanford will go down in infamy along side 4th and nine in many Irish fan's mind. Didn't have to happen. Didn't need to happen. Shouldn't have happened. It's over simplistic but I believe that the Texas game can again set the tone.
