Looks like DIP, Purse, CGVR, End his life 23 and the rest of the"sewing circle" are going to have to find a new set of buttocks to kiss? David Shaw's rear end is too bruised from what Chris Peterson and Mike Leach has done to it!!

Stanford the proclaimed gold standard of the all knowing yet clueless "sewing circle" has been outscored by the state of Washington 86-22 the last two games. Ouch!!!

ND and Brian Kelly may be down but they've had opportunities to win every game in the 4th quarter. Stanford not so much huh?

I wonder how "Power Football U" with all the FB & TE personnel got blown out at home by an Air Raid Coach? I am sure the "sewing circle" and those big football brains can tell us? Can't you ladies?

And I am sorry to report DIP's "I ♡ David Shaw" fan club is taking on more water than Raleigh NC LOL!!

Of course, you have said more than you realize. Yes, ND has been in position to win every game, and they haven't. You get that. They haven't. They have talent, but are not well coached. Talent will keep them in most every game. Poor coaching costs them those close games.

You have to love when the BK apologists resort to saying....we lost but look what happened to Stanford. WTFE.

Shaw hits a rough patch and people celebrate that because our coach sucks terribly.

Makes so much sense.

I watched Stanford they are not what we thought they were. The offense is not great. Occasionally the running game can move the ball. The QB is average at best. I would love the Irish to have the Stanford D but it sucks. The OP is correct the Irish have an opportunity to beat Stanford. Homely it won't rain. But what good is it if you lose close or you comeback down by 20+ and fall short by 7. It means nothing. Kelly looks like a beaten man after that presser. Did he lose the team? The game plan was awful against NC ST. Teams can stop our offense but can our defense stop anyone. I bet you McCaffery has great rebound game against us. we will find a way to lose not a way to win

David Shaw's yearly W-L:
11-2, 12-2, 11-3, 8-5, 12-2 and he's 3-2 this year

Brian Kelly yearly W-L @ ND:
8-5, 8-5, 12-1, 9-4, 8-5, 10-3 and he's 2-4 this year

This may be a down year but Shaw is a vastly superior coach in every way imaginable.

Before the season started I pointed out Stanford's vulnerability this year and that they were beatable. I also pointed out that their #63 recruit class were juniors. Their QB is also an issue....among other things. My thoughts were about how ND could run the table and how Stanford was not as formidable this year as in years past. ND now has a better chance of running the table in the opposite direction.

What the op lacks in intelligence he makes up for in crudeness. He is a Monday morning zero....an admitted laundry boy...however, that's with the caveat of performing said duty with a former NFL player....he actually tried to dignify the job with that caveat... You simply can't make this stuff up. How this putz gets off calling anyone a jock sniffer is the height of hypocrisy as he literally and figuratively admitted to the behavior.

One thing you won't see out of Stanford is guys crying about injuries, guys getting thrown under the bus by their head coach...

The facts are that Stanford has been dominating/destroying ND in football and academics. Their 6+ billion dollar medical facilities are second to none. Their endowment is over 20 billion.... I have asked multiple folks to have ND buy/build a hospital and start a Medical School. The estimated cost to get a med program going with a hospital was between $1-2 billion and that's prohibitive. We're tight wads ....

I was kind to this bozo OP. he is dialing 1-800-Not-A-Clue. Where the clueless go and chat.

My only point was Stanford is very winnable. It may be more winnable than Navy and Army.

cvgr, i often thought why Notre Dame does not have medical school. They should . Heck Drexel University in Philly purchased Hannamen (sp) medical school and made it part of their university. this is something they should do. I believe Marquette has a medical school also.

Agreed on Stanford, they appeared beatable pre-season and even more so now being dinged up and with a QB that is a huge drop off from Hogan's leadership other skills. Then we happened. This game is going to be interesting and I hope we slug it out with them. Their game with UCLA was brutal. so cal also took some steam out of them.... if we play our best game of the year and they are off a bit we can get a W. Right now we have a hell of a lot of regrouping to do.....
I had a multi hour discussion about a year ago, will explain in an email to you this week, with a Sr. Admin member. This topic has been regularly and imo incorrectly dismissed as too expensive for ND. Imo this is a huge missed opportunity. Build a children's/other hospital or buy a local hospital and get on with it. We're misers.....yet, we can spend $400 mill on a ridiculous colossus....sad.....
Take a look at Stanford's medical complex....unreal....

Shaw got to live off Harbugh for a while, Kelly inherited a CW team in bad shape.

ummmm... Harbaugh left Stanford 6 years ago and last year Shaw finished 12-2. Even in year 3 he finished 12-1.

The notion that Charlie left the cupboard completely bare is a myth. Kelly's best year was with mostly Weis players.

I've said many times Kelly is a good coach that got ND to the next level but he's no way capable of getting to the point that they are winning 10 games a year.

Nobody said there wasn't talent when BK took over, he said the program was in bad shape. The notion that the two programs were in a similar state is false.
Shaw took over a program fresh off a BCS win and returning the best QB in the country, Andrew Luck. Meanwhile BK was inheriting a 6-6 team that hadn't had a winning record in 3 years (15-21).

Since Luck left Shaw has been 12-2, 11-3, 8-5, 12-2. The first 2 years you can certainly give a lot of credit to Harbaugh but Shaw still had to coach them, it's not as if he had nothing to do with their success. Year 3 you have to start thinking Shaw may be a good coach. Anything from year 4 on is all Shaw and Harbaugh has nothing at all to do with it.

False. Shaw was coaching with Harbaugh well before he arrived at Stanford and helped with the build. Yeah, weis had recruiting holes, but he left porky with tons of superb talent. That talent Tinkles made perfectly clear weren't his guys and the legendary Manti Te'o pasted him for the remarks. Here's a ranking of recruits going back to '06. read it and weep.... kelly stinks and is a disgrace to ND.

Let's not forget that Weis left Kelly with the most decorated defensive player in CFB history and one of the greatest defensive players ever to wear the Golden Helmet.

Jesus, Shaw is a horrific recruiter. No wonder his teams have never reached the heights that BK's have. Their ceiling (Rose Bowl wins over Iowa) are prob due to his garbage recruiting.

Well Nix certainly wasn't BK's recruit either. The ONLY ND coach when Nix committed was Tony Alford. Also, after Weis was fired several commits commented that they reason they stuck with ND was that Weis had recruited them by showing how the school was a great fit for them regardless of who the coach was.

Shaw is a good football coach. He has a good gig at Stanford because nobody cares about their program.
By the way, his wife is brilliant.
He is still bitching about the goal line stand years ago.

False: Louis Nix committed on 12/2/09 one day after weis was fired. Porky was hired December 10th and had his intro presser on Dec 11th....

You snort some horrific drugs. Wow it's hilarious how clueless you are. Funny though that D. Shaw beats up Kelly every time ND goes to Palo Alto. Choke Kelly is 0-3 @ Stanford and 0-2 @ michigan. STFU.

That's why it's embarrassing. ND can't beat a program no one cares about. 2-4 overall record against them and the two wins came on virtually the last play of the game.

Shaw receives a lot of hype. His recruitment is not all that great. Shaw may be better than kelly but that is not saying much. Stanford's team is a disaster this year. the D is bad and the offense is worse

I believe that there is an extensive approval process required to establish a medical school. It's not just a matter of wanting to open one. I remember when my daughter was at FSU orientation they were mentioning that their medical school, brand new at the time, was the first one approved in like 15 or 20 years, and talking about how difficult it is to create one.
