When we go punt return now the entire front line and I'm not counting the center who dare not be touched but everyone except the gunners are let go. I mean we literally let them go with virtually no blocking whatsoever holding them up even in the slightest.
This would be ideal if we were going for a punt block but no, we are not rushing anyone. It's not some all out jail break punt block but not even one player is trying to get to the punter.
So it's obvious we have a return called because nobody is rushing the punter.....except we aren't blocking anyone but the gunners. We just like let the entire punt team take off with zero resistance.
I echo again that's fine provided we're trying a block but the annoying part is we aren't doing either. Blocking for a return or trying to block the punt.
That leads me to lastly...finke might as well be back there to make a sure catch because we sure the hell aren't setting up any kind of return.
