I rarely watch any NCAA Mens basketball but after two days of tourney action these are my quick observations----for what its worth:

--Did refs stop calling WALKS? Sure see a lot of extra steps, moving of the post foot, rolling around on the floor.......when I played years ago these were all WALKING. ??

--I stopped counting all the missed layups. Seemed like a lot. Also if I was tall enough to dunk.......would I not dunk every time??

--Did obama & holder issue an executive order mandating that WHITE guys are now required to play?? Sure noticed a lot more "slow, white guy" players that were actually good....heck even full teams on the court together.

--I HATE tattoos!!! Especially all those full arm tattoos that make players look like gang thugs. GROTESQUE!!! Also are these not expensive?? Who can afford them?? If I was in charge the NCAA would make them illegal.....even at Kentucky.

Any more thoughts?? Oh yeah---GO IRISH!!!

First of all bigotry sucks!!!
Then, those with the most talent plays! If not the coaches get fired! Just ask all the Brey haters around here.

Unless it is utterly blatant, walking is rarely called. Years ago, the "jump stop" was walking as well.

They stopped calling traveling (for the most part) during the Air Jordan years of the NBA.

They never call palming the ball either....

What basis would you have for banning tattoos? I don't know how you do thst or why it matters.

Just because you can dunk does not mean you can dunk on every shot attempt. So, in your eyes, Kareem Abdul Jabbar was poorly coached and the hook shot is useless. You should watch a bit more basketball than just the tourney

I noticed a ton of walking. EVERYONE is carrying the ball like a loaf of bread from the foul line in. I also noticed that the sheer number of fouls and play stoppage is getting laughable. I don't watch much BB, except the tournament really, and now I know why. Every other offensive series is getting called for a foul and play stopped. Its pretty difficult to watch anything but the last 5 minutes of most games....

I was watching a show about tv commercials and it was periodically being interrupted by some scenes of a basketball game.

Actually it was a general statement but if it makes you uneasy then it's all about you.

read on another board yesterday where someone posted some observations that they found from fams that were at the games at the Columbus regional. they were saying that wvu fans were the worst fans as coach huggins daughters were yelling at Maryland's star player all night calling him a rapist and that some wvu fans were basically calling for wvu players to hurt Maryland players. even read were some of there fans got kicked out of the arena because of there behavior during the games

348, did you notice that the trouser shorts were longer, and there is hole in the netting so the janitor does not have to remove the ball with a ladder after made goals?

you now understand why for the last 20 years of his life John Wooden did not watch much mens basketball. He openly said on many occasions that for a real fan of basketball watch the women's college game.

I agree with him; as a fan of BASKETBALL the men's game is a joke. Traveling since Jordan is a joke- I have watched players take as many as FIVE STEPS before dunking and not get called. Palming the ball is near epidemic levels.

The Dunk was the worst thing to ever happen to the game of basketball. As regards the actual game.

Yeah I am a luddite and proud of it.

when I would attend coaching clinics...I always listened to the Women coaches on the panel. From and x and o standpoint they were better than the men. I got tired of hearing men's coaches talk about their zone offenses...half of them would say if you don't have 3 6-10 guys this offense wont work...duh! How many hs coaches have 3 6-10 guys..women were much more precise....of course, half the men's coaches would go drink when it was time for a women's coach to speak....
