Perhaps he'll head back home because I believe Pitt's QB was a one and done transfer from USC.
That said he talks of his parents like having a big influence in his world and perhaps they never liked Narduzzi.
He is eerily similar to Kenny Pickett. Stature, running ability, arm strength...not a canon but decent enough...
With how the NFL drafts all he needs is one banner year and someone will take him first round.

Slovis has another year of eligibility and has indicated he’s looking at his options. A coworker is close family friend of PJ and when he committed out of high school he said ND was his dream since he was a kid. Seriously too bad it didn’t work out for him sounds like a bad match with coaches. That being said barring a Joe Burrow year, which ain’t happening, he has no shot at being drafted on day 1 or day 2. He’s had marginal success, a lot of injuries and shown emotional immaturity.
I'm not suggesting he's a first round player...

Would you say Kenny Pickett had a Burrows type year at Pitt in his senior season?
Had he entered the draft the year prior he gets drafted but way down there...
Pickett had a great final season with Pitt thus he was picked on opening draft evening.
I'm not predicting he will just that NFL teams will draft high based on one really good year.
Good point … Pickett played himself from late round flyer to 1st round pick. I’m also a Pitt fan and watched every game and he was crazy good senior year playing with Jordan Addison, a good TE and a pretty good running game.

To repeat, that would be so damn excellent, if we really had no set plan for a grad transfer QB, nothing lined up, other than coveting one.... Managed to alienate Pyne enough to up and transfer on a dime, and who knows maybe Buchner as well, and everything else fell through. No Hudson Card, no Devin Leary I guess.... nobody. And in total desperation we approached PJ and he jumped at the chance.
That would effin' awesome. It's not like he's a crap QB, he's not at all, he could do very well for us. He's no Ian Book and he never will be, but he's a legit D-1 P5 starter. That would truly be great. Anyways.....
