Football Sedrick Irvin Jr. commits to Notre Dame

Welcome aboard young man. What is this a top 100 recruite out of Florida even though his offer sheet is full of the heavy hitters he choose ND. It used to be a time when ND would even get the time of day for such a player. Now, get

Marquese Williams out of P.A. and call it a day for running back

He’s a smart kid who takes academics seriously. Hopefully, his teammate joins him at ND.

So it looks like three top ten recruiting years in a row. Any thoughts?

We always have a major hole or two on our teams…. Last year secondary and WRs, this year oline and maybe secondary ….. need to get this team whole at the same time to realistically compete for title

Yawn. IF you have to ask the question you will never comprehend the answer.
Look at the ranking and offer list for

pyne, Simon, Houston, Carroll to name a few…. Not every consensus 4 star with a pretty rivals offer list ends up being good

wow do you ever think?

all the star rankings mean is that the player has a certain level of athletic ability and has in high school shown it on the field

Dayne Crist was a 5 star. Did not show it on the field.
Meanwhile there are numerous 3 stars that ended up as All Americans.

A LEGIT 4 star is one that the majority of recruiting sites rank him as such.

Kyren Williams was a 3*.

From what I've read his speed isn't great, now... But his father had his growth spurt when he was 18-19, increased his speed, and he went on to have three 1000+ seasons at MSU.

So you agree with me now?

Sorry I thought that when most say legit 4 star then mean his play is like that of one. Where as a consensus 4 star means recruiting services all have them as 4 star. Semantics, and I agree with the consensus part, just pretty sure a number of people don't think his play is that of a 4 star as of now.

For example, a lot of people were excited we got Jordan Johnson, but his play in high school never looked like a 5 star. Part of it was due to the fact he played on a running team. Again, exciting we got a consensus 4 star, but again, on film his video and or stats don't wow you.
