Alabama made a jump in the rankings .... again ... based on their decisive victory over LSU .... and LSU proved again ... that they are not "all that" either ..... LSU didn't just lose ... they got their arse handed to them by an Arkansas team that lost to Toledo (AT HOME) and Texas Tech .... among others

Anyone worried about Stanford losing ... yes ... it will be held against ND by ND haters ... but even though ESPN would not have you believe it ... the SEC is not ... by far ....all that ... and Bama's win over LSU does not prove hardly anything and is not worthy of being considered a "Big" win

It really does suck that Alabama is untouchable in the rankings even though they lost to a three loss Ole Miss team. So sick of the bias.

I think the old argument that the seventh or eighth best team in the SEC is as good as any team in any other conference has certainly gotten old, but I do think for quite some time they have fielding a number of very good teams--sometimes as many as five or six in the top 20.

So, I don't think it's a big deal that Alabama lost to a sky high Ole Miss team, which has since been very pedestrian. I do think LSU was overrated just because they have Fournette. But Arkansas, which got beat by Toledo, has been playing much better.

I still don't hold out much hope for ND playing a team like Alabama, which has a fast, strong and deep defense. (Kizer is great, but he is inexperienced. He does when he gets 5-6 seconds to throw. Let's see how well he does against a team that can stop our running game and send pressure from all angles.)

I think the real issue is a very uneven playing field that seems to allow teams like Alabama and LSU to operate like defacto NFL rookie camps by oversigning and cutting players. Same with North Carolina (I know, I know, they are not in the ACC) which has fake classes, or even Ohio State, which used to give one credit for a phy ed class taught by the the football coach.
