He ran back because he didn't have total control of the team and personnel. If he can get a deal like Chip Kelly has then he would be gone.

Saban has his system all set. With the way Alabama is recruiting he will be in the playoff half the time. I would be shocked if he left.

Seriously doubt it.

If I remember correctly about one of the reasons he left was not just control but players.

He said to the effect that you can't make guys in the NFL play harder or do more. Some of them made as much or more than some coaches. It rubbed him when players did not take his messages too seriously. He lost the desire to coach in the NFL.

That is in a nutshell but I think there is no way he goes back.

I'll believe it when I see it. Saban has it too good there. He's a God and can draft... ahem, I mean recruit as many players as he wants. It's harder to win at the NFL level when it's a level playing field. Only Saban, or the NCAA, will make his decision to leave Bama!

I wouldn't doubt that Irsay will also take a run at Harbaugh. I suspect that it must bug Harbaugh that his brother has a SB ring and he doesn't.
