I was underwhelmed by the helmets until I saw the whole uniform together.
I'm not normally a fan of the weird uniforms, but this kinda works. The shoes are great.

You know they spend more time on the " look" than they do the " product" that plays the game. I wish they would just stop all the BS and focus on having an elite football program. They don't need all these gimmicks. If you play championship level football every year or close to it, then they'll sell more stuff than they could imagine. You watch, they'll talk more about the stupid uniforms and Navy will play lights out and win. I can't stand it anymore!
More like it. Players today should be forced to play without facemasks ... probably would discourage them from leading with the head and getting concussions.
I think there were plenty of concussions back in the day. The treatment was to sit on the bench for five minutes until coach tossed you back into the fray.
What are you talking about? This stuff is designed by people at UA and chosen by the staff in the off season. The amount of time the development of this alternate uniform took away from BK's prep for the Navy is minimal to none.
The unies aren't the problem. Not being prepared and looking like it is the problem. The elite teams could play in ladies summer sun dresses and still come to play ball without that far away look in their eyes.
Ok so let me clarify. I understand that UA is designing the uniforms. I get it. I also understand that Kelly is running the team and has nothing to do with the uniform that is worn. Maybe I'm old or old fashioned. Special uniforms, fake grass, Jumbotron, piped in music and all the other stuff is not necessary. Just put a consistent winning football program out there. That's all that matters. I don't know. It just seems to me that excellence in football has taken a back seat to the " fluff" stuff. I just would like to see ND play championship type football again like they use to do.
Yeah man the schools that play championship football also have the side hustle going too. Nowadays to get the championship product you also gotta play the game.
