I just read Undisputed, Mark Hubbards recounting of the Game of the Century and the special 1966 team. There has never been a better defense in CFB and he sets the record straight in no way did Ara play for a tie. Excellent read and Tom Schoen is part of the story. In addition to an incredible number of NFL players, so many members of that team became pillars of business and community including a legendary HS coach and teacher here in NJ (Paternostro).

I have to agree on the DEFENSE. ND surrendered only 38 points over a 10 game season, but I understand that of those 38 points, 14 came on interceptions returned for TDs, so the defense only gave up 24 points. Truly a great one!
