I had an opportunity to interview him several years ago in our Where Have You Gone section. A truly gracious gentleman whose Christian life was one to emulate. To start as a sophomore for that 1949 national title team speaks volumes about what a great player he was. He and Mike Ditka were among the NFL's first great receiving tight ends in the NFL.
