Well-known media personality Regis Philbin and the 2015 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks will be featured guests Friday night at the Notre Dame-Georgia Tech pep rally. The rally begins at 5:45 p.m. EDT at Purcell Pavilion. Admission is free. Gates open at 5 p.m.
Philbin is a 1953 Notre Dame graduate and former host of “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” and “Live! With Regis and Kelly.” He also has served as host for “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” “America’s Got Talent” and “Million Dollar Password.”
Stan Bowman, the Blackhawks’ vice president and general manager and a 1995 Notre Dame graduate, will speak on behalf of the Stanley Cup champions. The Blackhawks are holding their annual preseason camp this weekend at the Compton Family Ice Arena, and the squad will attend the Notre Dame-Georgia Tech football game Saturday.
Irish head football coach Brian Kelly and several members of his squad also will speak as part of the rally.
