NDs class is currently ranked 14th and will only continue to slide as the remaining elite athletes choose their school before national signing day over the next several weeks.

I relate a program's recruiting results to the health of the program the same way board members relate a company's stock price to the future health of their company. The prospects in college football (the recruits) are the investors in this scenario.

Despite ND being 12-1 and making the playoffs, the prospects aren't really buying into the future of this program, and since they have actual skin in the game/way more on the line, this is probably the most telling sign of where ND stands as a program right now (ranked about 15th).

Despite programs like Texas A&M and Oregon having pretty average seasons, their stock price is soaring, with classes ranked in the top 7. Investors are very optimistic about the future of these programs.

ND’s recruiting sucks. Not sure why everyone’s been bragging it up. We haven’t recruited5* talent in a while. When was the last one? Jalen Smith?
