It's a bit of a slow day and likely a slow weekend. I was working through the schedule today and started thinking through who would be a challenge. Figured I'd through out some things for debate.
Here's my ranking of ND's toughest games in 2015:
1. USC
2. at Clemson
3. Georgia Tech
4. at Stanford
5. Texas
6. Navy
7. at Boston College
8. at Pittsburgh
9. at Virginia
10. Wake Forest
11. at Temple
12. UMass
This isn't necessarily the best team ranking, but rather which game is the toughest matchup for Notre Dame. For example, I think Boston College and maybe even Virginia and/or Pittsburgh are better teams than Navy when viewing their seasons in context. But I think Navy is a tougher matchup b/c of the inability to stop the triple option, at least based on what we've seen the last couple of seasons. I think Stanford and Texas are probably going to end up as better teams than Georgia Tech and Clemson, but I think the offense of Georgia Tech is going to provide even bigger problems than Navy and Clemson is going to be a raucous environment and that up-tempo offense scares me, at least until Brian VanGorder shows he can come up with a plan to stop it.
What say you?
