R. Edsall canned @ UMd.

That's too bad. I don't like anyone losing their job. The good news is that most fired coaches land as assistants at other college or NFL programs or they land at ESPN.

With a name like Edsall, it's a wonder he lasted as long as he did. (For you younger kids, Google Ford Edsel and you'll understand my old man joke.)

He is a bit of an ass

Certain Edsels can sell for close to 60 large in today's market. Didn't his Captains refuse to shake hands with PSU prior to their game last season or am I mistaken? That might have been a player thing without prior knowledge by Randy. Anyway, I want to see if anyone can win at Maryland. A quick check tells us that the Terps are 59-66 over the last ten full seasons, not even counting 2015. So, what is happening at Fla and Mich will pretty much be expected everywhere. What magic man is out there that is going to change things around at Maryland? IMHO, that job is a career killer.

IMO firing a HC at midseason serves zero purpose.

Maryland is a bad job------OK facilities-----OK tradition------and now they get put in a divison with OSU, Mich State , Mich and PSU.

Can't see it being anything but a 6-7 win job a year and that's if you schedule down OOC.

Is this really going to turn into a Brian Kelly debate?

I'd love him in College Park, go ahead and fire him, even though the Notre Dame fan in me will be hurt, the Maryland fan in me will be perfectly fine with this if he came here.

Not a BK debate. More of an indictment of where the program has been. The times are a changin' though in South Bend.
