Question on Gary Forystek (sp?)

I think the story goes that the QB job was his but that he had a devastating knee or shoulder injury in camp that ended his career altogether, thus opening the door for Joe. Hope I've got that right.

Question is how good was he? Was he a potential star or just another guy? Curious also if he finished at ND.
