Coach D and Lou (and the board),
Do you believe that Brian Kelly and Brian VanGorder have to go somewhere (preferably, a top college football program) this spring "hat in hand" and find out how/why other schools do a better job of defending the triple option offense?
Since BK has been at Notre Dame (minus the 2012 Navy game in Dublin, Ireland), it seems like the Notre Dame defense has struggled big-time to stop (or even slow down) the Navy offense.
Now, in the upcoming 2015 season, the Fighting Irish face both Georgia Tech and Navy. Ugh!
Is it time that BK and BVG come up with a better plan on defense to stop (or slow down) the triple option offense.? To me, it seems like BK's answer is "we'll simply outscore them with our offense."
Thoughts?
