The Irish are going to have a big year in 17 !! We have a Alabama type offensive line and Georgia type running backs in Josh Adams, Dexter Williams and the budding super star Tony Jones Jr !! I almost feel sorry for Notre Dames opponents !! Congrats Quenton Nelson and Mike McGlinchey!! Now lets get a National Championship !! Go Irish !! 12 and 0 in 17 !!

But a Notre Dame type D Line and secondary. Also, no Bama depth in the trenches nor the high profile coaching.

Some here argued that it was in their financial interest to declare for the draft and avoid risking injury. Others argued that each underperformed and would be better served to return and continue developing their craft. A few, as Bodi mentions, argued that they would be stupid to return to a losing program with loser coaching, etc... They clearly underachieved last season, and I for one, selfishly wanted them to return and perform at the level expected, and to help avenge last season, and so very happy to learn that both are returning.

Offensive linemen need all the maturing they can get before moving on to the Nasty League. The day a player starts thinking about injuries, is the day he should hang up his cleats and do something else.

Plenty of size and talent on the OL now.

I'll be interested to see how the final lineup shakes out with Kreamer and Hoge both competing for 1 spot (unless they can unseat an incumbent, like Mustipher)

Hopefully we start leaning on the OL and TE positions more, as they should be ridiculously talented for us in 2017

I hope Hoge is the starting center and move Mustipher to a starting guard position.

If we have an Alabama type O-Line, let's hope that Long's offense emphasizes the power element in the run game. I do not see Alabama getting stuffed on 3rd / 4th and short by D-lines that are much smaller -- nor, do I see Alabama spreading out the offense inside the 5 yard line.

I hope Hoge is the starting center and move Mustipher to a starting guard position.

I could see that as a possibility.

Though Mustipher is shorter and stockier, which tends to a benefit at Center and a liability at Guard.

Also, both Hoge and Kreamer appear to have better open-space mobility and athleticism, which is better served at Guard than at Center.

Also, Center is a position where experience can make a HUGE difference, even more so than other OL positions (especially Guard).

Plus, Kreamer may well be among the 5-Best-OLs come 2017, and he can't really play Center. If Mustipher is also among the 5-Best-OLs, it would only make sense to deploy him there.

With the talent, depth, and diversity we have along the OL........it should make for an interesting off-season and lineup

What crack are you smoking??? Our O line is no where near Bama's.If I had a nickel for every time McGlinchey jumped off sides last year I'd be a millionaire. If we had a better O line we would have won more games last year but we don't.
