According to Edward Lewis of BruinSports.com interview with him, Notre Dame told Robinson they would "shut down" their linebacker recruiting if Robinson committed (link).

Now, he told Blair Sanderson of HawkeyeReport.com that his upcoming visit slate includes Indiana and "maybe" Northwestern (Troy Warner (6-foot-2, 185 pounds, San Marcos [Calif.] Mission Hills,) was removed after committing to Oregon, as was hinted was possible in last week's report. Robinson (6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Lexington [Ky.] Henry Clay,) is committed to Kentucky, but was added after the Irish offered him. He could make a visit soon.
