Packing now will hit the road a little later. This is the rubber match for me as I saw the Irish beat Tech in 97 and then sat through the horrendous 07 contest. After reading the posts here and on other boards (including some of GT's) I have come to the conclusion that I am in the minority when it comes to feelings about how things will unfold on Saturday. In my view Notre Dame wins and it could be convincingly. On the other hand should Tech emerge victorious I believe that it will be by the slightest of margins.
Of course nothing I think or feel will change the outcome. That of course can be said about all but a few. The determination rests in the hands of those young men and their coaches who will run out of that tunnel Saturday afternoon. Having sat in our storied stadium many times I know the highs and lows that await me as the battle plays out. Frankly, I find that experience to be second to none. Here's to hoping I'm catching the right vibe on this one. A win always makes the long ride home seem so much shorter.

I agree. Somehow I think against better athletes Notre Dame will look better than they do most years against Navy. The key is to get a couple of scores and force them to start going away from their strength. Good first post and enjoy the trip!
