kelly supposedly being looked at by Florida Gators for HC

For Kelly, it’s a fresh start in a warm climate with plenty of Dunkin Donuts and he surely can improve the Gators

Not get them over the bump but improve em

Fingers crossed. Would he go?

First I haven't seen any source saying BK is a candidate for the Florida job, Chip Kelly yes but not BK mentions. Assuming though that the report is legit... bad year to be looking for an HC. A lot of schools with similar profiles as jobs and more $$$ to throw at coaches.

Who, realistically, could we get that would be an upgrade?

I love that....you guys act like unkess there is a Holtz 2.0 or Meyer then you're not interested.
If we don't try we are only guaranteeing never getting that next level.

When BK came him I had a renewed enthusiasm for the program.

It's been 8 years with some consistent get close but no cigar type of seasons.

I'm ready to turn the page on this and get a change.

No guarantee it will be a good change but staying idle only guarantees staying pretty much idle.

Oh please Florida Gators make him an offer he cant refuse. Please please pretty please.

As Kelly stated in his pre Navy press conference, two weeks ago he won the coach of the week award, and now it’s all firekelly.com.

They are vetting CHIP Kelly, not Brian Kelly.

Yes -- CHIP KELLY! Know your facts before posting stupidity!

Never. Ever have I or many wavered on Kelly. I give him credit for his staff changes this year. I also give him credit for Uncle Rico

And countless bad decisions and poor game planning both pre and in game adjustments

He is s good coach. I want a great coach. Maybe we come up empty but I don’t think we do much worse. Let’s try

Yes Ski, as far as I can recall, you’ve been entirely consistent with respect to Kelly. I’m of the opinion, based on nothing more than how I would act in his stead, that Kelly will retire after this or next season, ASSUMING he can go out on a high note and with the conviction the program is on a solid foundation and poised for future success.

Kelso. . My dear long time friend. So harsh to theskibro.

In the words of Rosanna Dana -“ oh that Kelly? Never mind”

Mea culpa. How many fingers u want? Chip Kelly’s picture in the article looks just like Brian Kelly. Both round boys. Donut men

I can only wish Gators want Brian. Nobody wants Brian except Jack

What in our previous coaching selection gives you confidence we wont do much worse? Do you BK- haters remember how bad Davie, Willingham, and Charlie (outside of his first two years) were? We have been in the top 10 in 3 out of the last 4 Novembers! I think we should be encouraged by the fact BK has and can change and give him some time to work with that and his newfound talented assistants. Two losses (both to top teams) and we are right back to where we were.

How long before someone does a story on a young MAC/CUSA coach who has had his first good season and has some gimmick slogan (Row the Boat!) that we can all latch onto and be certain he will lead us back to 12-0 seasons?

The Boat as we speak!

We can always do much worse. Butch Jones is not an aberration

Exactly. When people say it can't get worse, it can.

There's a Nashville paper lobbying for Tennessee to rehire Kiffin, with part of the reason being he just has to be better the Butch Jones. Can you imagine how well that would go the first time Tennessee got pounded by Georgia?

There are actually a lot of fans on social media saying a Kiffin return would be awesome. He would be better the Butch but there is no way it could happen. If Kiffin make the jump this year I could see it being something like replacing Mullen at Miss St after Mullen moves up.

UF looks to have lucked out with Chip Kelly.
Looks like the UF, UGA, LSU, ALA, AU, Miami, FSU recruiting battles will spread the deep south talent out with more parity. Good for everyone.

Yeah, people on social media say a lot of stupid crap. I've got a family member that's a very well informed Tennessee grad. A lot of Tennessee fans really liked Kiffin, but he torched that bridge with the administration when he left. He also had a personal lifestyle that was already drawing push-back from powerful alumni and donors . We used to talk about it when were both hating on Kiffin when he was at USC.

I think you're right about the Miss St job type of move. I don't know why, but I could see him in a Big 12 job too if somebody came up with the cash.

For a Big12 job to open up which he would make the jump to it would have to be maybe OK St. if Gundy left. Don't see him going to Lubbock. Other problem is my guess wherever he goes he is going to insist on bringing little Briles. Not a lot of Big 12 people will let that happen and by not a lot I mean definitely none of the Texas schools.

Idiots. What do you want? We are a top 10 team. Do you want to take the chance of being terrible for a decade like Michigan? Taking chances on a coach is like gambling. We have a good one. Unless there were a proven top flight coach that would take the job, firing Kelly would be a disaster like we had from Willingham through the Weis era. I'd take BK all day. Some of you are making these comments simply because you're ignorant. You don't have a job in football or anywhere related to the sport most likely and there's a reason for that. It is funny how so many people think they're smarter than the ones making the decisions. If you're so smart, prove it and get a job making hiring decisions. If not, shut the hell up.
