ND should consider him!He pick Nebraska to upset OU....so I'm just curious
vice versaHe pick Nebraska to upset OU....so I'm just curious
Good to hear from you. Still want that drink in the Big Easy sometime. I don't know what's happening to Nd this year. But with your talent, if you figure things out, you will still win this year. I am actually worried about Fresno State. We have a great team with a huge hole that can be exploited.Good to see you brother.
Looks like the tables have turned between us
Interesting response. I didn't know
Why on earth would he pick Nebraska to win?He pick Nebraska to upset OU....so I'm just curious
I wondered the samething. Why on earth would he pick Nebraska to win?
Now that's interestingOnly job Urban is taking is Arizona State.
I think the way UM played ND after taking the UF job burned his bridge to coach at his "dream job" so even if ND lowered its standard (not happening) UM won't get an offer at NDUrban Meyer is a championship coach. He knows what it takes and he knows ND will NEVER give him that. No great head coach out there now would consider ND. The restrictions are too much to overcome. As I've been reminded a thousand times on this board, ND will NEVER lower it's "standards" to field a championship football team. And here we are....
New Orleans is a little dangerous now, but we'll be heading to Southern California (also not very safe) for Thanksgiving (my wife's side of the family. ....great prople)and, the ND gameGood to hear from you. Next year though, game on!
As to Urban. I heard they reached out, but his interest level is a guess.
While I tend to agree with your next to last sentence, money has a funny way of luring people into what seems like a difficult situation.Urban Meyer is a championship coach. Nebraska is a blue blood and have as deep pockets as anybody in the sport.Meyer won’t take that job. He will get a solid gig at a bigger brand if he wants it eventually. Id like to see him takeover after freeman gets the boot. Lack of Forgiveness is America’s biggest issue.
If you have time while is SoCal hit me up and I’ll buy.New Orleans is a little dangerous now, but we'll be heading to Southern California (also not very safe) for Thanksgiving (my wife's side of the family. ....great prople)and, the ND game
Our company (employee owned) has grown so big that we are organized in 4 regions, and the only time I'm heading south is for Space X, and barge work) which is OK because I'm a cold weather person
Nebraskans would welcome UM, and put them on the proper path I believe

I'd like to see one of these big brand coaches (a Meyer or Saban or Dabo Swinney) take over Nebraska or Notre Dame or one of these other struggling traditional powers and turn them back into a modern powerhouse. Urban Meyer might actually have the balls/arrogance to take on the challenge.

Agree, and I now live in NebraskaI’ve never seen Nebraska as a blue blood
Nebraska is one of the 8 blue bloods (Notre Dame, Texas, USC, OU, Nebraska, Alabama, Michigan, OSU). Nebraska recently had a home sell out streak going longer than ND.Agree, and I now live in Nebraska
He probably thinks that Clemson is.Nebraska is one of the 8 blue bloods (Notre Dame, Texas, USC, OU, Nebraska, Alabama, Michigan, OSU). Nebraska recently had a home sell out streak going longer than ND.
a village called for you. They want their idiot back.Nebraska is one of the 8 blue bloods (Notre Dame, Texas, USC, OU, Nebraska, Alabama, Michigan, OSU). Nebraska recently had a home sell out streak going longer than ND.
Urban only goes to college teams that are fully stocked. Like Florida and Ohio State. He doesn't have the balls--(that is why he is always having nervous breakdowns) But he is an amazing coach.Nebraska is a blue blood and have as deep pockets as anybody in the sport.

Nebraska was GREAT in the 70's, 80's and 90's.Lots of heisman winners. They are the very definition of "Blue blood". Many think there 95 team was the best ever.I’ve never seen Nebraska as a blue blood
As we are constantly reminded, Nebraska is in the past and not likely to ever continue again.Nebraska was GREAT in the 70's, 80's and 90's.Lots of heisman winners. They are the very definition of "Blue blood". Many think there 95 team was the best ever.
Some “blue bloods” are just done it seems. Yale, Princeton to name a couple. ND has survived and been relevant thanks to making a wise hire in BK. It’s not going to be easy to find a program builder when this disaster hits rock bottom in 3-4 years.Nebraska was GREAT in the 70's, 80's and 90's.Lots of heisman winners. Just like ND but with more reason
They had nearly a 30 year run but that is all. Blue Blood is USC, Alabama, OSU, ND, etc.
Teams that were great for 70 years or more. TWICE as long as Nebraska
Good morning DIP. Good to see you back in the States and posting here. Aranda would be a great hire, but not sure he would see Nebraska as a step up. Personally would like to see Nebraska back as a perennial top ten team.Local radio is saying the Cornhuskers are going to offer David Aranda (Baylor) everything to come to Nebraska
