Whenever there is a discussion about conference alignment, playoffs, etc, ND's independence seems to come up and those who hate or just don't like ND rant about ND joining a conference. I've never understood it. Why do they care one way or the other? I doubt it has any impact on the teams they root for? Would all those people be as obsessed if it were Texas or Alabama or FSU? I doubt it. It kinda feels juvenile or petulant.
OT: Why do non-ND fans seem to obsessed with ND joining a conference?
