Why in the "H" is Trump attacking our friends in Germany while coddling our enemies the Russians? UnBULLievable.

One German official response to Trump's tweets attacking Germany, was right on target: Trump is becoming the "destroyer of Western values."

Putin doesn't even need to blackmail Trump. The dunce Donald is doing his bidding without prompting.

If it was up to you there would be millions more illegal immigrants in the U.S. and millions more refugees that can't be properly vetted.

Is that the western world you speak of? The one you want with no borders? Germany, ha. They let in a bunch of immigrants/refugees in the last two years and suddenly they have a shortage of pepper spray. Women are getting attacked left and right by Muslims there.

You are sick in the head if that's the west you want to live in.

Guys, Donald Trump is the President of the United States. His job is to do what is best for the US, not other countries. He has decided, right or wrong, that Germany has taken advantage of our country through past negotiations (not their fault, they are doing what's best for Germany). He wants to change that. Germany doesn't want that to happen. I don't blame them.

We do not have direct trade deals with Germany; done through the EU so it is not a function of Germany. Germany could not have taken advantage of United States.

Not to get into politics (I know I just did - Dad gum it!), my point being the deals (negotiations) the US has concerning German interests. Germany wants the US to support their position whether representing themselves or the EU (Germany is of course a dominant player in the EU). If the US doesn't agree, Germany is unhappy. Now that is my last political comment on a sports site. I apologize. Go Irish!!

Economic powerhouse Germany isn't even close to spending 2% of their GDP on national defense. They agreed to that deal and now they're not stepping up.

Would you be alright with Brian Kelly signing a contract to coach the entire season but he decides on his own to not coach in the bowl game or skip out on fall practice?

So what you are saying is that Germany is smarter than the US because they know how to sensibly spend money on national defense and not waste money like we do. I'm glad to see we agree on something.

This is such a poor criticism considering most of Europe was also involved in the Iran deal. It was not a 1:1 deal with Iran so it is not like the USA alone could dictate terms.

nobody forced Obama to be a part of this deal but Obama and so tell me how he doesn't get at least some criticism from this . trump wouldn't have signed on to screw Isreal who is one of our biggest allies. trump is having to try clean a world wide mess that Obama made and left him

Undoubtedly you are wrong. Many of the needed reforms could be done without the Trump thuggery, arrogance, corruption and hate speech. Smart Republicans know how to run government efficiently. Trump is not smart. I would have preferred someone like Kacich who truly could have made America great. I could go on but you are not looking for a thoughtful policy debate. The echo chamber doesn't allow for that.

Sadly, I haven't seen evidence of "smart" Republicans or Democrats in a long time. It seems they are more interested in their respective parties winning versus taking care of the American people. There is so much to be done, but the immaturity being displayed in Washington is staggering.

I would agree with 99% of your statement. I leave open the other 1% because I believe there has to be at least a few Congress critters trying to do the right thing. But they are being drowned out by all the Trump drama.
