Those of you that follow me know my med status, in addition to my prescribed meds, I started the following in slightly lower than the RDA’s.
NAC - ALCAR
L CITRULINNE
L Arginine
Pycnogenol
After a few days the neuropathy is significantly reduced and I am feeling more than a bit stronger and increased energy.
Anyone familiar with any of the sups? From my checking they appear safe or is this a too good to be true ?

I’m a veterinarian with a PhD in Food Science and board-certified in Preventive Medicine. I don’t know your medical condition nor what other supplements you are taking but magnesium is recommended for peripheral nerve regeneration. The most common form of magnesium supplement that is sold is magnesium oxide, which is poorly absorbed and virtually worthless. You should take magnesium citrate, magnesium gluconate or magnesium lactate, all of which are well absorbed. I take magnesium gluconate.

Maybe we agree on something. Do you watch All Creatures Great and Small?

I listen to the Huberman Lab and the benefits of fitness with the right foods
d1942 not sure if you can use them, or even interested but have you considered peptides?
With the correct foods does great things for cancer patients

I’m a veterinarian and something that is commonly used in equine medicine for neural analgesia is dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). It has limited use in human medicine because it changes the refractive index of the lens of lab animals when applied in high doses, thus FDA approval is restricted.

I was a long-distance runner for about 30 years, 5+ miles a day. I have applied DMSO to myself hundreds of times for relief of the aches and soreness of my leg muscles and joints that are commonplace among runners. It is absorbed unbelievably quickly. If applied to my knee, I could taste it about 45 seconds later. It tastes like garlic diesel fuel, quite unpleasant, and lasts for hours.

As indicated in the link below, relief is immediate, thus DMSO’s popularity in the race horse industry. You can easily find it online from multiple outlets.

Would Beet root powder help? It is for improved blood flow and circulation.

I tried L-Citrulinne and Arginine for awhile. it worked a little too good when it came to helping boost nitric oxide levels for me. It was like a cheaper alternative to viagra and had to stop taking it.

Wasn’t DMSO banned in the U.S. years ago ?
If I remember correctly, patients had to go to Canada to get it

When did the FDA approve it?

Make sure you’re having lab work regularly and pay special attention to your liver functions

It came up in chemistry class. At one time you could buy it at every pharmacy.

It's readily available online. Google "Medical Grade DMSO on Amazon". Also note this is an execption to the rule that the period always goes inside the quotation marks.

Yes Pat, I get blood work including all the myeloma panels. I always do much lower doses of supps than RDA or labels because I have a good diet.
