OT----Kris Bryant

I am a Yankees fan but I think the CUBS are going to be a force in the near future! They are loaded with great prospects.

One of the Great prospects is Kris Bryant-- a 6'5" 230 pound third baseman. He hit 43 homers in his first season of minor league ball. He hits the ball a MILE ! He also hit for average! He strikes out quite a bit but that should change with some more experience.
Bryant is always working on his game. He works as hard at baseball as Jerry Rice used to work hard at football.

Kris Bryant is going to be a super star !

If I had a penny for every time I heard someone say "the Cubs are gonna be a force in the near future" (or something similar)...

This has been the MO of Epstein and Hoyer. The Cubs are likely 2 years away, if they are able to keep the core of that talent and develop them. Plus, Lester needs to keep performing.
It will be interesting to see if ownership allows Epstein to stay the course or they get impatient.

I'm a Cub fan and I'm eternally optimistic! It's going to take time to get there but as least it looks like it could happen in the next couple of years.
I just hope they hurry up and get the bleachers ready!

I don't foresee any realistic scenario where ownership would terminate Epstein prior to seeing this entire process through.
