For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
no surprise. the infraction was akin to an expired parking meter. the league already had a protocol in place for such an infraction and didn't follow it. hopefully the league will institute league control over game balls like it used to.
Is the league hiring? I want an overpaid position working for an incompetent management team that doesn't fire people. Sounds like a good gig working for the NFL.
The surprise is that an owner went against the commissioner in a court of law ... and won ... thus rendering the commissioner completely powerless. At best the Patriots and Goodell should have solved this behind closed door. You are right that Goodell completely mishandled it though.

The fans that love the NFL (I'm not one) love it because of the wide open passing attacks and star quarterbacks not some stuffed shirt evil bastard like Roger Goodell. Goodell should be drawn and quartered during halftime of the super bowl.

The NFL has been wussified by Goodell---- you can't even make a good tackle anymore. It is turning into the flag football league !!
He was shafted? Really, the guy conspired to cheat, and they did this for awhile, and their fumble numbers show it, but he was shafted? To hell with rules, the Patriots cheat, get caught and nothing happens, the league is a farce.
I am not saying he did or didn't cheat. My thoughts on him being shafted was that there was no hard evidence for the NFL to suspend him. They suspended him on investigation that he "probably" was aware...that's not going to stand up in any court.
if the nfl would have just enforced the rules on record for tampering with the inflation levels of the games balls it would have been over quickly. it's a parking ticket.
And you sound like a Brady apologist, if he didnt cheat, why destroy the cellphone? I'll be waiting for your logic on that....
why the league didn't enforce it's own rules is beyond me. goodell is a public relations disaster and a poor commissioner.
