I know around 5-10 guys who claim they won't watch a snap of football this year due to the national anthem garbage

Last night's game has taken away any enjoyment of NFL football for today. I got home very late and I'm not in the mood for football right now. Maybe after I'm done venting to anyone who will listen.

As am I. I did watch my birds wentz makes it all worth it.

I saw that they won. I like Wentz. But I have lost interest in the NFL. I never miss an ND game. Even when they stink. It's really the only team I root for. The NFL could go away and wouldn't even care. I'm tired of all the BS. Tomorrow turn on sports radio. I'm sure the eagle fans will find something to bitch about. Then again I'm sure some will have them penciled in for the super bowl.

Count me in, I don't watch football for activism, they have the right to protest and I have the right now to watch.
Ditto. The networks now make it a point to hone in on these side shows by a small group of ungrateful dupes of political activism in any arena totally ignoring what our flag stands for and those who have given their lives and limbs so they can have a few misguide moments on national TV. Sadly, if they had been ignored, like it should have, the hundreds of patriotic and respectful NFL players wouldn't be caught up in this.

Watched New England Thursday, and Raiders-Titans today. Enjoyed both games.

I trust we all noted how frequently the flag was displayed incorrectly at these NFL games. And many college ones too

I live in Arizona, I do not care about the Cardinals. i will watch the eagles if they are on TV and i have the time otherwise I do not care about the nfl. The nfl should have put a clause in the contract about respect like the NBA
did. So you have dumb players who are clueless about the USA that are disrespectful do these things.

Watched NFL Redzone while working out. Caught some of the Packers-Seahawks game later. Pete's offense has amscrayed.

Update....Dateline NW Indiana.....I still haven't recovered from the loss on Saturday so I will not be watching any NFL tonight.

Its not a game anymore. Its sponsors, fantasy, saturated pre and post game shows, and to much coverage of what goes on off the field.
Remember when Monday night football came to your town? It rallied the town. Today, oh there's a game?
Remember when it was Sunday 1-4 and Monday night only? You have to question the 24/7 coverage.
Was at a game a few years ago. Stoppage after stoppage after stoppage after stoppage.
A 10 year old kid asked his dad why is there so much time in between every play. I had to chime in. "That's how they make their money"

I'll keep watching my bears until they do something stupid. But I won't watch the pre game stuff. Just like I don't watch the college talking heads. When did sports people become such politically correct whips.

I loved watching the NFL in the 80's and early 90s but I hate the NFL now because it has become a quarterback to receiver touch football league. I only watch Notre Dame football.I haven't watched a Super bowl in years because I hate popular culture.
And Colin Krapernick is a jerk.

I got a question for some of you folks.

Is the National Anthem played everyday before you go into work?

I just think a lot of folk are just looking for a reason to complain about something these days. I watched as many games as I could Sunday because I wanted to see what moves I need to make in my fantasy football leagues. Life is too short people.

Also why don't they play the National Anthem at junior varsity games?

They went with a total youth movement and were TERRIBLE for about 4-5 seasons, but finally the plan looks to be coming together. Their defense looks legit and FAST.
That is exactly what I said to my sister at beginning of the season it just sucked having to pay for the season tickets during the lean years

I watch less and less because of the pathetic politicalization and front office stunts of the league.
Dallas had 93000 in the seats Sunday.

No, but I do go to work +/- 250 days each year, not 16, and nobody pays money to watch me work. So it's not really apples to apples.
So you think athletes only work when you see them live or on the tube? I know what your getting at but come on man. Even in the off season, most athletes have to train to stay in tip top shape.

I don't believe they play the national anthem before practices or lifting sessions. And while I agree with you 100% that training is a full time job, what these guys get paid for is performing 16 games per year in front of people willing to pay to see them perform.
